Hi Uncle Bernie,
I am glad you enjoyed our family website, it has come to be a great means of communication in our family. We had a Family Reunion on July 4th, we had 68 members of our famliy that were able to be home for it. We will be posting a lot of new pictures soon so check back again and you will have get to see some more current pictures of our family if you are interested.
I seen your big red Caddy at Uncle Gordy's one day when I was going to the office, I had hoped to stop back there on my way home but I got tied up with business. It would have been nice to see you when you were here, maybe next time you could email us so we could get together.
I had your email address before but lost it with one of my old computers, I am glad to have it again so maybe we can tay in touch.

Date: July 31, 2002Hi, My name is Donna Kay Schaaf, and I live in Spokane Wash. My husband is Jack Schaaf, and his
father was from Nebraska. They moved to Spokane when my husband was nine in 1935, from Winner,
South Dakota. It is interesting to see a website for the Schaaf family, even though I don't believe there is
any connection. Jack's family was from Alsasloraine [Spelling?] France originally. There were 3 brothers
that moved to the US, one settled in Nebraska, and we never knew where the other two moved too.
Anyway, thanks for sharing.
Sincerely, Donnaschaaf44@aol.com
Hi Donna,
It was nice to hear from you, I am sure I cannot tell you anything about my family that you have not aready seen on our web site. If you haven't already been to our Family Tree you may want to check it out, it trace's our family as far back as 1824, maybe we are related! May Dad always said there are only two kinds of people in the world...the ones that are related and the ones that wish they were!
Thanks again for writing,
Jim Schaaf

Date: July 15, 2002Hi, I'm one of the daughters of Eleanore (Schaaf) Abrelat, Pat (O'Connor)
Johnson. This website is just wonderful. Please keep me on your list.
Thanks!Pat Johnson
Hi Pat,
It is nice to hear from you, due to the age differences of the cousins, a lot of you were grown adults when we were young and are more like Aunts and Uncles than cousins to us. Your brother Ed was like an Uncle to us and was missed very much by our family.
This web page is an excellent opportunity for you to get to know more about us and also for us to get to know more about you and your family. I know Doug from the Shoe Shop but know very little about your lives other than that. I would also like to hear what has become of Margretta and Sherry and their families and maybe send them a link to our web site if they are online. Last Summer I heard Margretta was in town and I tried to contact her where she was staying but had lno luck, I would love to hear from them again.
Thanks for the information you emailed to Linda about the pictures, some of the pictures have names but of course others do not and it is nice to be able to be able to put names to them.
Thanks again for taking the time to write and please share a link to our web site with anyone you think might be interested.

Date: June 24, 2002Reply:Subject: When I am an old lady...
When I'm and old lady, I'll live with each kid, and bring so much happiness, just as they did.
I want to pay back all the joy they've provided, returning each deed! Oh, they'll be so excited!
(when I'm an old lady and live with my kids)I'll write on the wall with reds, whites and blues and I'll bounce on the furniture...wearing my shoes.
I'll drink from the carton and leave it out, I'll stuff the toilet and how they'll shout!
(when I'm an old lady and live with my kids)When they're on the phone and just out of reach, I'll get into things like sugar and bleach.
Oh they'll snap their fingers and then shake their head and when that is all done, I'll hide under the bed!
(when I'm an old lady and live with my kids)When they cook dinner and call me to eat, I'll not eat my green beans or salad or meat
I'll gag on my okra, spill milk on the table. And when they get angry, I'll run if I'm able!
(when I'm an old lady and live with my kids)I'll sit close to the tv, through the channels I'll click, I'll cross both eyes just to see if they stick.
I'll take off my socks and throw one away and play in the mud 'til the end of the day!
(when I'm an old lady and live with my kids)And later in bed, I'll lay back and sigh, I'll thank God in prayer and then close my eyes.
My kids will look down and a smile slowly creeping, and say with a groan!
She's so sweet when she's sleeping!
When I'm an old lady and live with my kids!!Love, Mom
Has any told you we are comming to visit?
All of US!!!!! See you soon.
Love
JUDE!

Hi, I really enjoyed browsing through your web site. I will check it out often. I have probably only met
1/3 of the family and have had ALOT of fun with them. I would love to hear from Susie again and maybe
even some day have a few drinks at the Rendezvous again. Karen stopped in recently and we were so
glad to see her. Since I live real close to Lora, I hope to see her soon also.
O.K.... I am jealous that Karen left Green Bay and gets to go to the ocean so often, but I have 4 more
days of work and then I am off until Sept.
All of you take care!!

Green Bay,Wisc.Reply: Linda,
I am glad you stopped in to take a peek at the website. I am sure Kay told you about it when
she saw you 3 weeks ago. She mentioned that she went by your place while she was in Green
Bay and really enjoyed getting to visit with you. I just wish Schneider had an office out this way
in California that she had to visit near my house. :-)
I hope all is well with you.
